Clairvoyance (from French: clair ["clear"] + voyance ["vision"]; literally "clear vision," "clear-seeing") is a term for the ability to acquire information, particularly visual representations, by means of an extra-sensory perceptive mode, and without the use of any of the normal senses. In spiritualism, this may refer to information obtained by a supernormal communication with other intelligences, incarnate or discarnate.
Similar abilities include clairaudience (audio), clairalience (scent), clairgustance (taste), clairsentience (feeling), and claircognizance (knowing).
