Bernhard-Georg Meitzel

Bernhard-Georg Meitzel was a German officer of the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend, attaining the rank of SS-Obersturmführer during his years of service, who was captured by British forces following the Normandy invasion in 1944. Meitzel went on to become a writer in the post-WWII period, contributing to various English-language military journals and magazines.
