Summary

Description

Illustration of the flag used by The Order of Chylena and Ethiopia, black and white. The flag has thirteen equal horizontal dark stripes [red] (at top and bottom), alternating with white, with a large rectangle in the canton, featuring four smaller circles - two with the word "EVANGEL" (top right and bottom left) and two with the word "EVANGELINE" (top left and bottom right) over six-pointed stars - surrounding a center wheel with four circles: the first and second with twelve triangles and five-pointed stars alternating inside them - the first triangles being in halves that alternate between dark and light, the second having alternating dark and light triangles; the third with twelve triangles, alternating dark and light, with five-pointed stars inside them; and the fourth circle, the smallest, having a black background with a white six-pointed star at centre, the word "CHYLENA" over the star, three white stars in each of the six spaces around the star; the overall effect of the dark and light contrasts to make the central circle appear to be producing rays of light and shadows. A flag pole (at left) features a circle at its top, with the numbers "37" over (multiplied by) "18" over (equals) "666" inside.
